Lesson Three

“The Lamb of God”

Joh 1:29 The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sin of the world.

Heb 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission.

Intro:  We have seen in previous lessons that God created man in a sinless world.  A world without sickness, disease or death! We have discovered how Satan deceived Eve into eating the forbidden fruit and in so doing she disobeyed God.  She then enticed her husband Adam to join her in her rebellion and disobedience, and he also disobeyed God.  As a result, they forfeited their sinless nature and introduced sin, sickness and death into humanity.  Omnipotent, Omniscience Jehovah God knew of course this would happen and had a plan that would permit sinful man to be reconciled to Himself Holy God. That plan was that He Holy God would take upon Himself a human body in Jesus of Nazareth and become His own sacrifice for the sins of all who believe and receive Him as Lord and Savior!  With those truths in mind prayerfully address the following questions from your reading assignment.

Read Genesis 3:1 - 24

What was the first sin committed.

Who committed the first sin?

Who became a participant in that first sin.

What was the result of that first sin.

How did God respond to the sin of Adam and Eve.

How did Gods response to the sin of Aam and Eve speak to us in our day?
